# Create and manage teams

> A team is a group of members. Grant access to tables, agents, and connections once per team instead of once per person.

A [team](https://docs.tulipfarm.ai/concepts/workspaces-members-and-teams/) is a group of members. You grant access to tables, agents, and connections once per team, and every member of the team gets it.

## Who can do what

| Role | What they can do |
| --- | --- |
| Workspace admin | Create, rename, and delete teams. Change what each team can access. |
| Team manager | Add and remove team members. Change team roles. |
| Team member | Use the access that the team has. |

A team has two roles, **Manager** and **Member**.

## Create a team

1. Select **Teams** in the settings sidebar.

2. Select **New team**.

3. Enter a **Team name**.

4. Optional: enter a **Description**.

5. Select **Create team**.

You become the team's first manager. Add members and appoint other managers after you create the team.

## Add members to a team

1. Open the team.

2. Select **Add members**.

3. Search for workspace members by name or email, and select them.

## Leave or delete a team

- Select **Leave team** to leave a team. A team's last manager cannot leave. Appoint another manager first.
- Select **Delete team** to delete a team. People stay in the workspace, but they lose the access that the team gave them.

A team that owns tables, agents, or connections cannot be deleted. Move the ownership to another team first.
