# Change workspace settings

> Change your workspace name and icon, find the workspace ID, leave the workspace, or close it for everyone.

The **General** page holds your workspace's name, icon, address, and your membership. Open the workspace menu, select **Settings**, then select **General**.

## What is on the General page

| Item | What it is |
| --- | --- |
| **Workspace icon** | The image in the sidebar and workspace menu. Only admins can change it. |
| **Workspace name** | The name people see. It has 1 to 80 characters. Only admins can change it. |
| **Workspace URL** | The web address of the workspace. It is permanent. |
| **Workspace ID** | The identifier to give support when you contact TulipFarm. |
| **Your membership** | Your role and the **Leave workspace** action. |
| **Close workspace** | Ends access for everyone. Only admins see it. |

## Change the workspace name

1. Type the new name in **Workspace name**.

2. Select **Save name**.

Renaming does not change the **Workspace URL**. You cannot change the URL after you create the workspace.

## Change the workspace icon

Upload a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image of up to 2 MB in **Workspace icon**. TulipFarm resizes it to 128 pixels. Without an icon, the workspace shows a colored initial.

## Leave the workspace

1. Select **Leave workspace** under **Your membership**.

2. Confirm in the **Leave this workspace?** dialog.

You lose access to the workspace and all of its teams. Your account and your other workspaces stay available. Only an admin can invite you back.

The last admin cannot leave. Promote another member to admin first. See [Members and invitations](https://docs.tulipfarm.ai/admin/members-and-invitations/).

## Close the workspace

Only admins can close a workspace.

> **Caution:** Closing ends access for everyone in the workspace. TulipFarm keeps the rows, files, and backups. TulipFarm does not promise to restore a closed workspace, and does not promise a date to erase its data.

1. Select **Close workspace**.

2. Type the exact workspace name.

3. Select the check box **I understand that workspace data is retained, not erased.**

4. Select **Close workspace for everyone**.
