Workspaces, members, and teams
A workspace is your company's space in TulipFarm. Members belong to it with a role, and teams let you share access once for a group.
A workspace is your company’s space in TulipFarm. It holds your members, teams, chats, tables, files, agents, and workflows.
Workspaces
Section titled “Workspaces”Each workspace has its own web address: app.tulipfarm.ai/<workspace-url>.
- The Workspace URL is permanent. You cannot change it after you create the workspace.
- The Workspace name can change. Renaming the workspace does not change its URL.
- You can belong to more than one workspace. Open the workspace menu and select Switch workspace to move between them.
When you open app.tulipfarm.ai, TulipFarm opens the last workspace you used in this browser.
Members and roles
Section titled “Members and roles”A member is a person who belongs to a workspace. Each member has one of two roles.
| Role | What it is |
|---|---|
| Admin | Manages membership, workspace settings, models, and table access. The person who creates the workspace is the first Admin. |
| Member | Uses the workspace. Everyone joins as a member. An Admin can change the role later. |
An Admin invites people by email. Team access is added after the person joins.
A workspace always needs at least one Admin. The last Admin cannot leave or lose the Admin role until another member is promoted.
A team is a group of members. You share access to tables, agents, and connections once per team, not once per person.
| Team role | What it can do |
|---|---|
| Manager | Adds or removes team members and changes their team roles. |
| Member | Gets the access that is shared with the team. |
Only Admins create, rename, or delete teams. Only Admins change what each team can do with each table.
A few rules keep teams safe:
- A team’s last Manager cannot leave the team.
- You cannot delete a team that owns tables, agents, or connections. Move the ownership first.
- Access from several teams adds up. There are no rules that take access away.
