Work with tables

Create a table in chat, add and edit rows, switch between Table, Board, and List layouts, search with Ask AI, and export rows to CSV.

A table holds one kind of business record, such as Customers or Invoices. Each record is a row. This guide shows the common table tasks.

You create a table in chat. The chat proposes the fields, and you approve them.

  1. Select Tables in the sidebar.

  2. Select New table.

  3. Select Create table in chat.

  4. Describe the table and its fields.

  5. Check the exact fields and row effects that the chat shows.

  6. Approve the change in the chat.

A field can hold text, a number, a date, a timestamp, yes or no, one choice, many choices, a file, or a link to another table. Each field is required or optional.

To change the fields later, open the table and select Change fields in chat.

  1. Open the table.

  2. Select Add row.

  3. Fill in the fields.

  4. Select Save new row.

To change a row, select Edit row. Then select Save row.

  1. Open the row.

  2. Select Delete row.

You can restore a deleted row for 30 days. Open More table options and select Deleted rows.

  1. Open the table.

  2. Open Layout.

  3. Select Table, Board, or List.

The Board layout needs a choice field. It shows one column for each choice.

Ask AI turns a plain request into a table search.

  1. Open the table.

  2. Open Search.

  3. Select Ask AI.

  4. Describe the rows you want, for example “open urgent tickets from last week, newest first”.

  5. Select Build search.

The AI writes the search. It never reads your rows. Each search uses a small amount of credits.

To find words in text fields, use the Text tab instead.

  1. Open the table.

  2. Apply any search or filters that you want.

  3. Select Export.

The export is a CSV (comma-separated values) file. It has the rows that match your search and filters, in the shown columns and sort order. An export has up to 5,000 rows.

To export only some rows, select the rows. Then select Export selected.
