Connect your apps
A connection links TulipFarm to an outside app such as Gmail or Slack. Learn who can use each connection and which apps you can connect today.
A connection is an authorized link between TulipFarm and an outside app, such as Gmail or Slack. This section shows you which apps you can connect, who can use each connection, and how to set each one up.
Where to find connections
Section titled “Where to find connections”Select Connections in the sidebar, under Data & connections. The page lists every app as a card.
| Item | What it is |
|---|---|
| Search apps | Finds an app by name. |
| All and Connected | Show every app, or only the apps you connected. |
| Categories | Filter the list by type of app. |
| App card | Shows the app name, a short description, and its status. |
| Connect | Starts the connection for an app. |
| Reconnect | Appears when a connection needs attention. |
| Grant access | Appears when the app needs more access. |
| Set up | Opens workflow setup for apps that only start workflows. |
Select an app card to open its panel. The panel shows What it can do and who can use the connection.
Personal and shared connections
Section titled “Personal and shared connections”Each app has a fixed audience. The audience decides who can use the connection after you connect it.
| Audience | Apps | Who can use it |
|---|---|---|
| Personal | Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides, GitHub | Only you. Admins cannot see or use it. |
| Shared | Slack, GitHub team | Selected people and teams. A connection manager controls sharing. |
| Your choice | Jira, Confluence, Trello | Your own account, or a shared business account. |
| Workflow only | Notion, Google Forms, HubSpot | People and teams that a connection manager shares it with. |
| Personal or shared | Custom MCP | Only you, or the people and teams that a connection manager grants access to. |
Shared access goes to a team once, so every member of that team gets the same access.
Connecting is not permission
Section titled “Connecting is not permission”A connection lets TulipFarm reach an app. It does not decide what an agent can read or change.
- Actions that change things in an outside app ask first. The panel marks them with Asks first.
- A person must approve each of these actions before it runs. See Approvals.
- An approval covers only what you saw. It grants no extra permissions.
- An agent runs with the permissions of the person who started it. The agent’s own limits can narrow these permissions but never expand them.
