Data retention and deletion

How long TulipFarm keeps deleted chats, rows, and files, and what happens when an admin closes a workspace.

This page explains what TulipFarm keeps after you delete, archive, or close something.

Item What happens
Deleted chat TulipFarm keeps it for 30 days, then removes it permanently.
Archived chat It stays saved. An archived project chat is read-only.
Deleted row You can restore it for 30 days.
File in Trash TulipFarm keeps it until Trash is emptied. It still uses storage.
Archived project It stays readable. Nobody can send messages or change files.
Archived workflow Its history is kept. You can’t undo the archive.
Closed workspace Access ends for everyone. TulipFarm keeps the data.

When you delete a chat, TulipFarm asks “Delete this chat?” first. After you delete it, TulipFarm keeps the chat for 30 days. Then TulipFarm removes it permanently.

To keep a chat out of your list without deleting it, archive it. An archived chat stays saved. Select Restore to make it active again.

Unsent chat attachments expire after 24 hours.

You can restore a deleted row for 30 days.

  1. Open the table.

  2. Select More table options.

  3. Select Deleted rows.

  4. Find the row and restore it.

Files has a Trash section. TulipFarm keeps a file in Trash until Trash is emptied.

Files in Trash still use workspace storage. If storage is full, see Upload problems.

To clear your personal memory, open Account. Remove the text under Personal memory, then save.

To leave a workspace, open Settings, then General. Under Your membership, select Leave workspace. The last admin can’t leave until another member becomes an admin.

When an admin removes a member, that member loses all team memberships. To join again, the person needs a new invitation.

Only admins can close a workspace. Closing ends access for everyone. It does not erase the data.

  1. Open the workspace menu, then select Settings.

  2. Select General.

  3. Under Close workspace, select Close workspace.

  4. Type the exact workspace name.

  5. Select the box for I understand that workspace data is retained, not erased.

  6. Select Close workspace for everyone.
